Ruben Amorim delivers double Man United injury update amid Europa League final boost
@Source: manchestereveningnews.co.uk
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has confirmed none of his players came away from the Premier League loss to Chelsea with any injury concerns ahead of next week's Europa League final. United fell to a 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge to leave them 16th in the table. It means they have now gone eight league games without a win for the first since January 1990. Amorim made five changes to the side that lost to West Ham last time out with a strong XI selected. Alejandro Garnacho and Manuel Ugarte came off the bench for over 20 minutes of action while Ayden Heaven made his return from injury after last playing since March 16. All focus turns to Wednesday's Europa League final showdown with Tottenham, who also lost on Friday night against Aston Villa. Fortunately for United, despite naming a starting 11 that is likely to be the one which lines-up in Bilbao, there were no new injury concerns. Asked by Sky Sports if everyone came away from the game unscathed, Amorim said: "Yes. Nothing. Luke [Shaw] and Mason [Mount] were the guys that we need to take care of. The other guys are fine." Amorim also provided an insight into what the next five days looks like ahead of the showdown in Spain. "We have five days," he added. "Two days to rest, two days to prepare, one game the next day. So we will be ready." Wednesday's opposition, Tottenham, suffered another midfield injury problem in their loss to Aston Villa. Pape Matar Sarr was forced off in the second-half and headed straight down the tunnel with a member of the medical staff. "Pape felt something in his back so we took him off as a bit of a precaution," Ange Postecoglou said. "I don’t think it’s anything too significant speaking to him afterwards but he just felt something in his back and I think Mikey (Moore) was okay."
