Team Gold climbed into second place at Batball Maxx after a thumping win against Sapphire in the morning on Matchday 4.
Captain Kenneth Waiswa (51 not out) led the way as Team Gold chased down a modest 141 inside 18 overs.
Team Gold won the toss and elected to bowl first. The in-form opening partnership of Hamu Kayondo (36) and Didier Ndikubwimana (16) put on 41 together with Calvin Watuwa (29) and Ronald Omara (22) the other main contributors with the bat.
In the run chase, Wasim Butt fell early for Team Gold but Cricket Cranes batter Robinson Obuya (27) anchored the top before Captain Kenneth Waiswa (51 not out) and Stephen Wabwose (19) added the finishing touches to seal the five-wicket win.
The two sides swapped places at the start of the second round of the tournament.
In the afternoon, Team Emerald condemned Ruby to their third defeat of the tournament after going down by seven wickets.
Ruby batted first and put on the lowest total of the tournament after being bundled out for 93. Fahad Mutagana (26) and Joseph Baguma (26) both got starts but they failed to spur their team on and get a big total.
The part-time medium pace of Suleiman Shariff (4/18) was the pick of the bowlers for Team Emerald.
Despite being 34/2 in the run chase, Ronald Lutaaya (22) and Charles Mushemeza (29) knocked off the deficit to bring up a 7-wicket win for Team Emerald.
The win keeps Team Emerald unbeaten and firmly on top of the table while Ruby is stuck at the bottom of the table.
