Australia legend Drew Mitchell pulled his hamstring and then downed a pint handed to him from the stands during the Classic Wallabies against British and Irish Legends match at AAMI Park in Melbourne. With the British and Irish Lions playing on Tuesday against First Nations & Pasifika XV, players from both sides of the equator kept the hype train running with a unique spectacle on the southeastern coast of Australia. Just 12 minutes into the match, RugbyPass coverage cut to Wallaby icon Kurtley Beale on the touchline speaking with the commentary team, only for him to provide some unique foreshadowing. Mitchell peeled down the left flank, only to pull up, clutching his hamstring, prompting a very enthused Beale to exclaim: "He's done his hammy!" "I said it! I said it!," continued Beale. "Why are we laughing? We're bad people," added co-commentator James Haskell. "No laughing," assured Beale, before bursting into laughter again. However, the drama didn't stop there. As the commentators and Beale cracked up, Mitchell took a pint from someone in the crowd and drank it all in one in front of the fans, earning a big cheer. You can watch these moments below. Viewers were loving the game and this moment. "The commentary the whole match was brilliant. Hope all the old hurting bodies make it to the next match, loved it!!," said one. "Watched that live and laughed just as hard as Kurtley. He was talking about Drews hamstrings just moments before it happened! The timing was amazing," said another. Referencing the beer-drinking, one fan joked: "Accelerates recovery, known fact." This was the first in a two-match series between the sides, with the next coming up on Thursday, July 31 at North Sydney Oval. It's the first time these games have taken place since the last tour in 2013. Although he didn't play in today's match, Wales legend Shane Williams is part of the Legends squad, are Dan Biggar and, Leigh Halfpenny. The Legends squad features over 800 Test caps and is captained by Ireland's Shane Byrne. Wales' Alex Cuthbert and Andy Powell, as well as former England star Mike Tindall were part of the team for this match. The likes f Matt Giteau, Mitchell and Adam Ashley-Cooper were named in the Wallabies team.
