Super Eagles forward, Sadiq Umar is set to earn a one-match suspension by Spanish LaLiga.
Since joining Valencia, Sadiq Umar has scored seven goals and provided one assist, establishing himself as a key player for the team. His performance in the second half significantly changed the game, as he scored after collecting a rebound from a shot that hit the post.
However, the Nigerian international faced mixed emotions following an incident during the match that will affect his future participation. Near the end of the game, Sadiq received a yellow card for recklessly striking an opponent with his arm while competing for the ball.
This yellow card was his fifth of the season, resulting in a mandatory suspension. As a consequence, Sadiq Umar will miss Valencia’s crucial home game against Espanyol on Tuesday.
