23-year-old Tamil Nadu batter B Sai Sudharsan, who has been in red-hot form these days, is all set to earn his maiden India Test call-up for the upcoming five-match series against England. The Indian men’s cricket team is all set to tour England next month. The series opener is scheduled to take place at Headingley in Leeds from June 20 to 24, and the next four matches will be played in Birmingham, Lord’s, Manchester and The Oval. Sai played 11 matches for Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 before it was suspended for one week on Friday, May 9 and scored 509 runs. According to a report in news agency PTI, “The Indian team for the tour of England will be announced during the end of third week of May while India A team will be announced early next week. “If there is one certainty among the rookies for the Test tour, it has to be Tamil Nadu southpaw Sai Sudharsan, who has made an impression. If all goes well, he will either open or come to bat at No. 3.” Sai Sudharsan has already played three ODIs and one T20I for the Men in Blue but is yet to play Test cricket. In domestic cricket, the top-order batter from Chennai has played 29 First Class matches and scored 1957 runs.
