Sam Thompson says 'I'm done' as he makes major career move

ITV regular Sam Thompson has admitted he has called it quits on the reality TV life, instead making a major career move. The Made In Chelsea star opened up about his journey on television and how he believes he has reached an age where he's "done" with that chapter, and would rather begin exploring documentaries or even podcasts further. Sam, who won the 2023 series of I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!, said it was going into the jungle which really shifted his position on the matter. After he came out victorious, he said he used it as a marker for the "perfect end" to his reality TV journey. "The jungle was the perfect end to my time in that sphere, because you can't beat that. "I haven't had a holiday in two years. Next year I'd love to take some time off. Maybe there's another documentary on the cards, too." Sam Thompson was thrust into the limelight even further when him and Love Island-star partner, Zara McDermott, broke up after a five year relationship at the end of 2024. Since then the TV personality has moved on with another famous man, One Direction singer, Louis Tomlinson. It was back in June rumours swirled when Sam pulled out of Soccer Aid, with some speculating it may have had something to do with him being on the same team as Louis. However, he confirmed this was not the case, as he had an injury, so he could not play but was happily cheering on the sidelines for England. He said: "I'm still very sore, still got the torn calf, however I am here at Soccer Aid HQ and it does not get better than this. "We've still got the management team of England, we've got Vicky McClure, Tyson Fury, who's stepping into some new shoes and Harry Redknapp. READ MORE: BBC Strictly Come Dancing start date confirmed "But also because I'm not going to be able to run around, you've also got me, part of the management team. Come on baby!" Sam added: "Yeah I came here with high hopes and went to see Gary the physio and I can kick a ball from a standing start, but when it comes to like general chaos of playing competitive sport there's just no way. "I can't really run properly so yeah. They were very kind and said we still want you to be a part, so I get to go on the dark side with Tyson Fury."
