The order suggested that stray dogs will be picked up within eight weeks and housed in dedicated dog shelters to be set up by the concerned authorities. Now, the new and revised verdict states that the strays will be released in the same areas after proper sterilisation and immunisation. I don't know why, if religion wasn't an issue, now they've got another issue to fight about. Why can't we think that we're all on the same team to protect society and community, and dogs are part of that too? The issue isn't about keeping dogs on the streets or removing them; it's about humans and dogs feeling safe and protected, both ways. So, whether you're a dog lover or a civil supporter, I request everyone to come together and raise funds, not just dog lovers. If we can't do that, at least let's create a rule or come up with a solution." Further, she added, "People who don't like dogs or are against them, I'm sorry, they're part of our lives.
