Dubai: The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced a new record in mobility services, with 57,000 worshippers benefiting from electric golf cart transportation on the 27th night of Ramadan 1446H.In the first 15 days of Ramadan alone, over 522,000 worshippers utilized various transportation services within the mosque. This included more than 421,000 using electric golf carts, over 86,000 opting for upgraded paid carts, and approximately 15,000 benefiting from free manual carts available in designated areas. To meet rising demand, the authority recently doubled the number of operational electric golf carts to 400. The service is integrated into the "Unified Transportation" platform, allowing users to reserve carts in advance, choose between electric or manual options, and make payments electronically. This initiative aims to support the elderly, people with disabilities, and other worshippers with mobility challenges, particularly during peak periods.Strategic cart deployment at key access points—including Bab Al Salam, Al Shabika Bridge, and Ajyad—has helped reduce congestion and streamline movement across the mosque’s expansive courtyards and prayer areas.
