Riyadh, August 26 (QNA) - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on the international community, particularly permanent members of the UN Security Council, to urgently intervene to end the famine in Gaza and halt what it described as genocide and crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.
During a cabinet meeting chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its support for the outcomes of the extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers held in Jeddah, which focused on coordinating efforts to stop the aggression and occupation in Gaza.
The cabinet warned that ongoing Israeli violations without accountability undermine international law and threaten regional and global peace and stability.
Saudi Arabia also strongly condemned Israeli incursions into Syrian territory and interference in its internal affairs, expressing full support for Syria's efforts to maintain security, stability, and national unity.
Additionally, the Kingdom renewed its call for all Sudanese parties to implement the Jeddah Declaration signed in May 2023, protect civilians, ensure safe humanitarian corridors, and prioritize the interests of the Sudanese people, and sparing them the scourge of war and internal conflicts. (QNA)
