A picture of Campbell Scott partying with friends just weeks before he was found dead in Kenya has been shared in a heartbreaking tribute to the tragic businessman. The 58-year-old was found dead in the Makongo forest about 60 miles outside of Nairobi with his hands and legs bound with rope after a report from a cattle herder. Just a fortnight previous he was pictured out with his partner Simon Farrar and pals. It was taken on a night out in London at the start of this month, shortly before the businessman went to Nairobi for a conference for credit-scoring firm FICO. Sharing the image, his heartbroken friend Jason Benterman said: "Utterly devastating news about you Campbell Scott. What a truly funny, warm, kind crazy bugger you were. Gone far too soon. We send our heartfelt condolences to you Si Farrar and the family. "This picture was taken on 8th February..... there you are, being the crazy bugger everyone loved. My heart is broken beyond belief." It's believed Campbell and Simon had lived in Dunfermline before moving to London about a decade ago. The family arrived in Africa ahead of his planned post-mortem on Thursday, however baffled medics have been unable to work out how Campbell died. Detectives believe he was murdered and possibly tortured before his body was dumped. But, according to local media reports, an autopsy has returned an inconclusive result. Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor revealed blows to Campbell’s head, as well as other injuries, may not have been enough to kill him. Talking to Nation Africa the expert said: “Head injury and multiple soft tissue injuries. Blunt trauma. Though just to clarify, the injuries as per the pathologists looked too minor to cause death. So they have taken samples to further investigate.” It’s believed the team have now gone back to the drawing board as they try to piece together Campbell’s final moments and they are now carrying out further tests, which include a toxicology screening. It’s understood the post-mortem was postponed twice while officials waited for Campbell’s family to fly in from the UK before it finally went ahead at Makueni County Referral Hospital on Thursday afternoon. Footage from local TV stations show a crowd gathered outside while the procedure was carried out. Crime scene tape could also be seen erected outside the mortuary. It's understood Campbell’s body was then transferred to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi. Police arrested two men , a taxi driver and a nightclub waiter, as investigations into the 58-year-old’s death continued. Campbell, who was a senior director at credit scoring firm Fico, arrived in Nairobi’s affluent Westlands district for a business trip on February 15. He was last seen the following night with an unidentified man, having been to a nightclub. Chilling CCTV footage emerged on Monday showing his last known movements as he strolled through a car park wearing a blue rugby top adorned with the Scotland flag on the shoulder and shorts. Police are searching for the mystery man who they believe may have lured the businessman to his death. The man was captured on CCTV alongside the Scot before he vanished - and cops believe he booked a taxi and took Campbell to a notorious slum in the city. A Foreign Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Kenya and are in contact with the local authorities.”
