Seajays Rule Karen Beaubrun Swim Championships

Seajays Swim Club has once again asserted its dominance by clinching the Karen Beaubrun Swim Championships, held at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre from June 7-8, marking their eighth consecutive title victory. In a fiercely contested event, Seajays surged ahead with an impressive 1,321 points, successfully fending off a strong challenge from Sharks Swim Club, which finished with 1,280 points. Lightning Aquatic Swim Club (555 points), RR Aquatic (415 points), Southern Flying Fish (339 points), and RHAC (194 points) followed in the competition. Not only did Seajays secure another championship, but they also claimed the High Points category, dominating with eight podium finishes while Lightning Aquatic garnered three and Sharks Swim Club two. This meet, sanctioned by World Aquatics and hosted in collaboration with the Saint Lucia Aquatic Federation (SLAF), clearly showcased the relentless determination of Saint Lucia’s top swimmers. Athletes delivered exceptional performances, pushing boundaries and accumulating medals across all age groups: – 8 & Under Women: Kenya Andrew (four gold, four silver, 64 points – Seajays) – 8 & Under Men: Keyanno Elibox (eight gold, 72 points – Sharks) – 9-10 Women: Amber Francois (four gold, two silver, one bronze, 61 points – Sharks) – 9-10 Men: Miles Andrew (nine gold, 72 points – Seajays) – 11-12 Women: Aniyah George (seven gold, one silver, 70 points – Seajays) – 11-12 Men: Nathan Lewis (seven gold, 63 points – Seajays) – 13-14 Women: Amara Reece (seven gold, 63 points – Lightning Aquatic) – 13-14 Men: Noah Dorville (six gold, two silver, 68 points – Seajays) – 15-17 Women: Anya Sadoo (three gold, one silver, two bronze, 56 points – Seajays) – 15-17 Men (tie): Malik Peter (two gold, two silver, 45 points – Seajays), Ethan Hazell (five gold, 45 points – Lightning Aquatic) – 18 & Over Women: Naekeisha Louis (four gold, three silver, 63 points – Lightning Aquatic) – 18 & Over Men: D’Andre Blanchard (eight gold, 72 points – Seajays) Since Lightning Aquatic Swim Club first secured the title in 2015, the competition has intensified each year.
