Seattle Sounders vs. San Diego FC, Start’Em Sit’Em: April, 3rd, 2025
@Source: yardbarker.com
The brand-new Seattle signing is an exciting one, that’s for sure. Of course, though, being a new signing does come with its own struggles. Such as having to learn a new playbook and create chemistry with people you’ve never met before. Once he gets up to speed, I’m sure he’ll be a great addition to the Seattle squad. Until then, though, I’m sure it’ll be a tough but quick getting-up-to-speed period for him.
As for who you should start with, players from San Diego or on the Sounders, here are some names to watch. You should always start whoever is hottest (in form, not looks), and as for Seattle, that is Albert Rusnák. The Slovak, after being Seattle’s player of the season last year, resigned and has picked off right where he left off! With Rusnák already has two goals and three assists in only six appearances.
He was predicted to have a very good year, and that’s exactly what’s happened, so start him on the 5th!
Danish Midfielder Anders Dreyer- San Diego FC’s Top Player
The attacking midfielder has been far and away the star man, becoming San Diego FC’s first true hero. He’s scored three goals plus had an assist this season so far in six appearances. Plus, with Seattle’s struggling defense so far, which has allowed eight goals in six games. Meaning there’s a great chance the Great Dane has a great performance on the 5th.
San Diego defender Christopher McVey- He should be a Sit
The Swede has been one of the better players for San Diego so far this season and therefore in the club’s whole history. Despite that, the Sounders’ offense has been high-powered so far this season, scoring eight in six so far. Led by the likes of Rusnák, Morris, and Cristian Roldan, even McVey will have trouble stopping Seattle on the 5th.
Another obvious sit is Sounders striker Jesus Ferreira
Speaking of the struggles that a new signing can have, Seattle’s new striker has been struggling heavily so far. After a promising pre-season, the ex-FC Dallas man has been off to a slow start with no goals and only one assist this season. I’m sure he’ll be back to his usual greatness soon, but until then, I’d sit him.
