The 2025 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament has officially kicked off at Bridgestone Arena. The tournament promises an exciting week of competition. The games which began on March 12 will conclude with the championship final on Sunday, March 16.The matches are going to be intense as Auburn enters the fray as the No 1 seed, aiming to defend its 2024 title. Florida, which ranks second, also boasted an impressive 27-4 regular season record. They will be looking to reclaim the title. Meanwhile, other teams to look out for include Alabama and Tennessee—both of whom received double-byes. They will start their campaign in the quarterfinals.Tournament Bracket and Key MatchesThe tournament follows a knockout format, with early-round matches airing on SEC Network and later rounds on ESPN. The SEC Tournament began with the first round on Wednesday, which featured four matchups. Arkansas secured a narrow 72-68 victory over South Carolina while Texas beat Vanderbilt in a 79-72 match. This will be followed by a Texas A&M vs Texas showdown at 3.30 pm. Missouri will be facing Mississippi State at 7 pm, after which Kentucky will battle Oklahoma at 9.30 pm. All second-round games will be broadcasted on SEC Network.Do not miss the exciting quarterfinal action on Friday, March 14! Auburn will take on the winner of the Ole Miss vs Arkansas game at 1 pm, and right after that, Tennessee will go head-to-head with whoever comes out on top in the Texas A&M vs Texas matchup at 3:30 pm, stated the media reports.It added that later in the evening, at 7 pm, Florida will battle the winner of the Missouri vs Mississippi State game while Alabama will be facing off against the victor of the Kentucky vs Oklahoma showdown at 9:30 pm. The first two games can be watched on ESPN, and the latter two will be available on the SEC Network.Then, on Saturday, March 15, the semifinals will showcase the winners from the quarterfinals, kicking off with the first game at 1 pm and the second at 3:30 pm, both of which will be broadcasted on ESPN.
