Section of Highway 1 in Chase closed due to vehicle crash, three sent to hospital (Salmon Arm)

UPDATE 2:35 p.m.
A section of Highway 1 near Chase is still closed.
Chase RCMP were notified of a serious collision involving two vehicles at 10:46 a.m. Three people have been transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The highway will remain closed for an undetermined length of time and all traffic is now being re-routed.
Collision Analysis and Reconstruction services have been called to the scene.

A section of Highway 1 near Chase has been closed Sunday following a crash.
The highway is closed for 7.3 kilometres between Shuswap Ave and Silvery Beach Road, according to DriveBC.
It's not clear how long the highway will be closed for, but DriveBC says the next update on the incident won't be issued until 5 p.m.
An assessment is currently in progress and there are no detours available.
