ANN ARBOR, MI -- In a showdown against two undefeated teams in conference play, the game ended in a tie with neither team being able to score.
Both Skyline and Saline were equally matched in the first half, but Saline was able to dial up the pressure in the second half with an onslaught of shots taken at Skyline’s goal.
However, Saline was unable to score thanks to a series of stops by Skyline’s defense led by goalkeeper Kennedy Wassef.
Skyline got a chance to score late in the second half thanks to a penalty which gave them a penalty kick to take the lead. The penalty kick was stopped which kept the game tied at 0-0.
After tonight’s game, both teams remain tied for the lead in their conference.
Skyline will be at home again to face Pioneer High School on Thursday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, Saline will stay on the road to play at Monroe High School on Thursday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m.
