BREAKING NEWSSergio Garcia's wife makes shock announcement about LIV star after missing the cut at the Masters READ MORE: Donald Trump reveals who he is backing to win the Masters By JACK BEZANTS Published: 17:38 BST, 12 April 2025 | Updated: 18:03 BST, 12 April 2025 Sergio Garcia's wife Angela has confirmed that the LIV golfer has split with his longtime managers Carlos Rodriguez and Irek Myskow. The Spaniard, who missed the cut at the Masters at Augusta National this week, made the decision because Rodriguez is also the general manager LIV team Torque, while Garcia leads rival team Fireballs. 'Carlos Rodriguez is a wonderful guy and we have a wonderful relationship. But he’s now the general manager of Torque, so it’s a conflict of interest,' Angela was quoted as saying by Golfweek. 'We have a great relationship with Carlos and Erik and gave them both big hugs this week. We’re just a big happy family on LIV. It’s nothing other than it’s a conflict of interest and we want to do the right thing.' There had been rumors that Angela herself had stepped in as Garcia's manager. But his career will now be overseen by Adnrew DiLallio, who has previously worked with Major League Soccer team Austin FC. Rodriguez, meanwhile, was quoted as saying: 'It’s just something personal. We are still very close and I talk to the family all the time.' Sergio Garcia's wife Angela has revealed the Spaniard has parted ways with his manager Angela and Garcia pictured during the Par-3 contest at Augusta earlier in the week Garcia caught the eye in his LIV Golf colors at the Masters during the first round on Thursday Garcia's links to Fireballs saw him became a figure of fun during the first round of his tournament this week due to his striking red and yellow outfit. Fans took to social media to say that the Spaniard, a Masters winner himself in 2017, looked like Ronald McDonald. The 45-year-old Garcia has struggled to recapture the magic at Augusta that saw him win his only major to date in 2017. This year's missed cut means that he has failed to make the weekend in six years out of seven starts since winning the competition eight years ago. Garcia started promisingly enough, going round in even par on Thursday but his +4 second round saw him sink down the leaderboard.
