Seven appointed to Tourism Fiji board

Government has today announced the appointment of seven individuals to head the Tourism Fiji board.

Seasoned tourism executive Josaia Rayawa is back in the fold and has been appointed alongside Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association CEO Fantasha Lockington, Uraia Rasake, an experienced human resource expert, Ilisapeci Matatolu, a former Tourism Fiji regional director for the Australian market and Pavan Singh, the operations manager for the Kundan Singh Group of Companies.

Seasonal tourism executive Eroni Pumau has also been appointed to the board alongside the Tourism Ministry permanent secretary Salaseini Daunabuna.

Tourism Minister Viliame Gavoka indicated the appointment followed a subsequent selection process.

The minister says the new board’s expertise  and decades of experience will be an added advantage in the growth of the sector.
