SHAMED rugby star Stuart Hogg and his estranged wife are selling the £850,000 home where he subjected her to domestic abuse. The former Scotland captain, 32, and ex Gillian put the five-bedroom property on the market this month after buying it for nearly £700,000 three years ago. Mum-of-four Gillian is said to want to offload the pad in Hawick, Roxburghshire, and move on following their bitter split. A source said: “The plan is to sell it and divide the proceeds. “Gillian wants a fresh start. "This is the house where the abuse happened and she’s looking to move on with her life.” Hogg, who admitted a five-year abuse campaign against Gillian, is now based in France where he is raising a baby son Teddy with new partner Leonna Mayor, 32. He and Gilian bought the rural home with two reception rooms, three bathrooms and stables in August 2022. Estate agents hail its sale as a “unique opportunity” for “equestrian and countryside enthusiasts”. Ads further praise its “beautifully tended” gardens. The Hoggs also bought two other flats in Hawick worth more than £200,00 through their SWH properties firm. Hogg pled guilty in court last November to shouting and swearing at Gillian, tracking her on an app and sending distressing texts. The Montpellier player was sentenced to a year’s supervision in January.
