The makers of Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, recently dropped the official teaser — leaving fans eager for more. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the highly anticipated film is set to hit theatres on April 18. Following the teaser’s release, actress Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor, showed her support for her close friend Ananya. Sharing the teaser on her Instagram stories, Shanaya gave a sweet shoutout, writing, “Can’t wait.” Akshay shared the teaser on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “He held his head high. Sankaran Nair’s legal battle and fight for justice against the British Empire. In the film, Akshay plays Sir C Sankaran Nair, a fearless lawyer who dared to challenge the British Empire in the aftermath of a national tragedy. The teaser starts with 30 seconds of audio of people screaming as ‘the visuals are too horrific to display’. Gunshots, cries, and growing tension create an intense atmosphere that captivates viewers before they even see a single image. As it progresses, we see a small glimpse of Akshay as Sir C Sankaran Nair. The makers are yet to unveil the first look of actors R Madhavan and Ananya. Meanwhile, Shanaya will be soon making her big screen debut with the upcoming romantic drama film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan opposite actor Vikrant Massey. Directed by Santosh Singh, the film is expected to hit the big screens by mid-2025. It is reportedly based on Ruskin Bond’s short story The Eyes Have It. According to Peeping Moon, in the film, the actress play a theatre artist, while Vikrant plays a blind musician. Apart from that, Shanaya also has a survival thriller titled Tu Yaa Main opposite Adarsh Gourav in her kitty. Produced by Anand L Rai, the film will be released on Valentine’s Day 2026.
