Shane Lowry: Masters tee time, Augusta record, betting odds and how to watch the 2025 event
@Source: irishmirror.ie
Shane Lowry looks a good each way bet for the Masters this week, having recorded inside the top 15 in four of his last five visits to Augusta. And if the putter heats up, anything is possible for the Offaly man.
Lowry is making his 10th start at the Masters, one of only two Irish players in the field alongside his great pal and world No.2 Rory McIlroy.
The 2019 Open champion may be without an individual win on tour since, but he is up to a career high 12th in the Official Golf World Rankings and has come close to major success in the last 12 months.
Lowry has grown to love the Masters track and finished third behind McIlroy and winner Scottie Scheffler in 2022. He has also recorded a famous hole-in-one at the Masters - at the 16th in 2016.
In his most recent start at the Valspar Championship, he topped the field in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee, and has consistently been among the PGA Tour leaders in Strokes Gained: Approach where he currently lies sixth in 2025. Those two stats are paramount at Augusta National and his ability scrambling around the greens is up there with anyone. The big question is over putting. But if that lights up, Lowry can win - make no mistake.
