The new revamped Sisters in Business (SIB) logo signifies the captivating, energetic and intoxicating yet subtle embodiment of the presence of women throughout the existence of humanity, says co-ordinator of microfinance at Vision Investments Ltd Arieta Navukivuki
. The logo was unveiled yesterday at the launch of their market day, which also reinforced the partnership between SPBD and Courts Fiji Ltd and their joint initiative to empower local businesswomen.
SPBD general manager Elrico Munoz said the re-launching of SIB and the new logo was “a way to say we have made it through our darkest hour and are facing a new chapter of the relationship”.
“This event we are witnessing is just the first step of a journey where Courts and SPBD will be helping women grow their market opportunities, grow their exposure to other markets, and along the way enable them to improve their own products,” Mr Munoz said.
Head of business development at Vision Investments Ltd Anil Senewiratne said: “Within the design of the new logo, you will see how over the years the ladies within this partnership have blossomed like the hibiscus flower.”
Chief operating officer at Vision Investments Ltd Sanjesh Prasad said the company would continue to support all such initiatives that would help improve and enhance the quality of life of the people and families of Fiji.
“This partnership has resulted in great learning over the years. There are a lot of commercial opportunities in the community in terms of promoting financial inclusion. Financial inclusion, as we all know, is a key enabler to reducing poverty and boosting prosperity,” Mr Prasad added.
