Prince William has caused quite the stir in the world of sports broadcasting following his viral punditry debut on Wednesday night (April 9). The future king is reportedly "100 percent" keen on taking another swing at it after delivering insightful commentary prior to his beloved Aston Villa's Champions League match against Paris St Germain. The six-minute appearance was shared by broadcaster TNT Sports and quickly racked up millions of views online leaving broadcasters now eager to have him back. The BBC , Amazon Prime, and Sky Sports are all vying for the chance to feature him with their own pundits. During an interview with former Manchester United and England star Rio Ferdinand and ex-Scotland forward Ally McCoist, Ferdinand humorously interrupted to say: "Can I just say something? Do not go for a punditry job please - because I could be out of a job!" With Villa's FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace set to air on the BBC on April 26 and their Premier League clash with Newcastle being shown by Sky Sports on April 19, the race is on to secure Prince William's punditry talents, reports the Mirror . A Royal insider shared: " Prince William absolutely loved the experience and would 100% be up for doing it again. He is a passionate football fan and has really enjoyed following Aston Villa's success this season. "He's definitely hoping some of their good fortune rubs off on the England team for their remaining World Cup qualifiers. William believes the beautiful game has the power to bring communities together and is really pleased his appearance has had such a positive reaction." The sentiment was echoed by fans online. A viewer commented: "William speaks extremely well here. I knew he supported Villa, I didn't realise quite how much he actually loved the game until watching that. Top man." Another chimed in with praise saying, "Prince William is a really good pundit, he is articulate, intelligent and really knowledgeable about football," while someone else added, "Jeez! Never thought I'd hear Prince William talk so thoughtfully about football with knowledge of the game and tactics. Very cool!". The future king, who has been an Aston Villa follower since his school days, confessed in a recent interview how he "got into football big time". He reminisced, "A long time ago at school, I got into football, big time", as William, who made his first trip to Villa Park in November 2013, once shared. "I was looking around for a club to support, and all my friends at school were either Manchester United fans or Chelsea fans. "I didn't want to follow the run-of-the-mill teams, I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table, that could give me the more emotional rollercoaster moments." Reflecting on the highs and lows of being a Villa fan, William humorously remarked: "To be honest, now, looking back, that was a bad idea - I could have had an easier time!". Wills expressed his affection for the "camaraderie" among Villa supporters, recalling his first game experience: "Aston Villa has always had a great history. I've got friends who support Aston Villa and one of the first FA Cup games I went to was Bolton versus Aston Villa, it was a semi-final. "It was fantastic, I sat with all the fans with my red beanie on, and I was sat with all the Brummie fans and had a great time. It was the atmosphere, the camaraderie, and I really felt that there was something I could connect with." An industry insider also mentioned how TNT broadcasters were thrilled with the segment featuring the Prince of Wales, who is also the patron of the Football Association, alongside McCoist and England's Ferdinand. An insider revealed: "The producers at TNT were over the moon with the segment and the incredible reaction and would love to have him back." Kensington Palace, however, declined to comment on the Prince's future plans.
