It may have been merely an Emerging Test, but tensions fly high, no matter what, in cricket.
The same occurred during the 2nd Emerging Test match between Bangladesh and South Africa in Dhaka on Wednesday. Players Ripon Mondal from Bangladesh and Tshepto Ntuli from South Africa were involved in a physical altercation.

The incident started when Ripon hit Ntuli for a six and exchanged a glance with the bowler. As Ripon was heading towards his batting partner, Ntuli charged at him. The confrontation escalated with both players exchanging words and shoving each other. Despite an umpire’s attempt to intervene, the players continued, and it took the efforts of other players and the second umpire to diffuse the situation.
South Africa lost the one-day series 2-1, and the first four-day game ended in a draw.
In the ongoing match, Bangladesh posted a total of 371 runs, with Iftakhar Hossain Ifti scoring 109.
Ripon added a valuable 43 runs lower down the order. Andile Mokgakane was the standout bowler for South Africa, taking four wickets, while Ntuli claimed three wickets. In response, South Africa is struggling at 152/6.
