Spring Sports Stars: Who are the top seniors around Flint? Our picks, your votes

FLINT - As the spring high school sports’ season gets into full swing, we want to know who you think is the top senior athlete in the Flint area.
We have 65 athletes on our poll, which will remain open until noon on April 28.
Athletes from baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, golf, and tennis were selected for the poll. Stats for golf were based on iwanamaker.com while tennis stats were based on tennisreporting.com and track and field via athletic.net.
Votes MUST be submitted in the poll at the bottom of the story in order for it to count. Votes by email will not be accepted.
If you want to nominate a senior athlete, email jszczepaniak@mlive.com with the name, school, AND stats by 11:59 p.m. on April 23 with “Spring Sports Stars” as the subject line.
Ana Perry, Goodrich (Soccer)
Perry has five goals and two assists this season after tallying 13 goals and five assists as a junior.
Perry earned Division 2 second-team all-state honors last season.
Lucy Rafferty, Goodrich (Soccer)
A defensive specialist, Rafferty has helped Goodrich earn three shutouts in seven games.
A Division 2 all-state honorable mention last season, Rafferty has two assists this season after tallying four goals and five assists as a junior.
Addy West, Goodrich (Soccer)
Holding four goals and five assists this season, West had five goals and eight assists in 2024.
She is a key veteran piece on a Goodrich squad with high expectations.
Tessa Slogor, Flushing (Soccer)
Holding two goals and three assists this season, Slogor tallied five goals and three assists in 2024.
She is in her second season as team captain for Flushing.
Kierstyn Stankevich, Imlay City (Soccer)
Imlay City’s go-to player in the clutch, Stankevich has six goals and one assist this season, including two game-winning goals.
Stankevich had 11 goals and five assists in 2024 and plans to enter the United States Army following graduation.
Haven Chapman, Genesee Christian (Soccer)
A basketball star for the Soldiers, Chapman currently has two goals and five assists this season.
Chapman tallied 22 goals and five assists last season, earning Division 4 second-team all-state honors.
Abbie Hill, Holly (Soccer)
A veteran leader for the Bronchos, Hill currently has five goals and three assists this season.
A two-year captain, Hill returns as a first-team all-league honoree in the Flint Metro League after tallying 17 goals and six assists last season.
Grace Kubiak, Holly (Soccer)
Holly’s anchor in net, Kubiak currently has 63 saves and three shutouts this season as Holly remains undefeated.
Kubiak recorded three shutouts in eight games last season before sustaining an injury.
Alexis Lindley, Holly (Soccer)
Another veteran leader on a strong Holly squad, Lindley currently has five goals and three assists this season.
Isabella Epley, Davison (Soccer)
A defensive specialist for the Cardinals, Epley has three goals this season as Davison has recorded four shutouts.
A Division 1 all-state honorable mention player last season, Epley, a Delta College commit, scored seven goals last season.
Grace Murphy, Powers Catholic (Soccer)
One of five Powers Catholic players to earn Division 3 all-state honors last season, Murphy helped lead the Chargers to a district title and the regional championship game.
The midfielder was all-state honorable mention last season.
Lexie Affrica, Powers Catholic (Soccer)
A senior forward for Powers Catholic, Affrica earned Division 3 third-team all-state last season.
Hannah Converse, Lake Fenton (Soccer)
Holding three goals and five assists this season, Converse is looking to keep the young Blue Devils competitive.
Converse tallied 18 goals and nine assists last season, earning second-team all-league honors in the Flint Metro League.
Paige Bilbey, Grand Blanc (Soccer)
A Michigan Technological University commit, Bilbey held a career record of 15-5-4 in net with 19 shutouts heading into this season.
The senior holds a career 0.949 goals against average as a three-year varsity player and will look to go out on a high note for her final season with the Bobcats.
Grand Blanc has four shutouts this season.
Jayden Gohs, Goodrich (Softball)
Whether it’s on the mound or at the plate, the University of Louisville commit is dominant.
Currently hitting .600 with a .647 OBP and 2.314 OPS, Gohs has five home runs and 12 RBIs at the plate while carrying a 2-0 record with 14 innings pitched, 25 strikeouts, and a 0.0 ERA with a 0.50 WHIP.
Savannah Schultz, Grand Blanc (Softball)
One-half of Grand Blanc’s dynamic pitching duo, Schultz is hitting .305 with three RBIs and a double while tossing 15 innings pitched with 33 strikeouts.
The University of Detroit Mercy commit was 17-2 on the mound with 225 strikeouts in 117 innings of work last season, holding a 0.48 ERA.
Morgan Piotrovsky, Linden (Softball)
Hitting .364 with four doubles and 13 RBIs, Piotrovsky is well on her way to another incredible season.
A University of Northwestern Ohio commit, Piotrovsky was a first-team all-league honoree in the Flint Metro after hitting .470 with 11 doubles, nine home runs, and 52 RBIs last season.
Kayla Widner, Linden (Softball)
A dominant force on the mound, Widner currently holds a 6-1 record with 75 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched.
The all-region pitcher is also hitting .357 with a .471 OBP, tallying one home run, five doubles and five RBIs this season.
Taryn Craven, Fenton (Softball)
An MLive Flint-area Dream Team selection last season, Craven, a first-team all-state honoree, comes into the season as one of the top bats in the area after posting a slash line of .536/.636/.809 with 11 doubles, six triples, and 34 RBIs last season.
Craven is currently hitting .600 with three hits, four runs scored, and two RBIs.
Ashlyn Orr, New Lothrop (Softball)
Another basketball star on this list, Orr is currently hitting .455 with a .519 OBP, two home runs, 10 RBIs, and seven runs scored.
Orr hit .412 with seven doubles, three triples, four home runs, 43 RBIs, and 30 runs scored last season, earning first-team all-league honors in the Mid-Michigan Activities Conference last season.
Molly Charboneau, Holly (Softball)
One of the strongest defensive outfielders in the area, Charboneau hit .482 with 53 runs scored, 21 RBIs, and a .921 fielding percentage in the infield and outfield.
The Saginaw Valley State University commit also set a school record single-season stolen bases with 49.
She is currently hitting .385 with two doubles.
Payton Malin, Clio (Softball)
A first-team all-league honoree in the Flint Metro last season, Malin hit .366 with 45 runs scored, 13 doubles, and 22 RBIs last season.
Malin is currently hitting .444 with a single, a double, two home runs, and four RBIs.
Parker Gordon, Davison (Softball)
Gordon, a Madonna college commit, was named first-team all-league in the Saginaw Valley League last season after hitting .459 with six doubles, three triples, 24 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases.
Gordon held a fielding percentage of .980 and committed only one error last season.
Chloe Bruman, Imlay City (Softball)
The captain of Imlay City’s outfield, Bruman was a first-team all-state selection last season after hitting .551 with 56 runs scored and 36 stolen bases.
Bruman, a Davenport University commit, was a first-team all-league honoree in the Blue Water Area Conference.
Makenzie Jones, Flushing (Softball)
Currently hitting .312 with seven RBIs this season, Jones hit .423 with four home runs and 30 RBIs in 2024.
Jones is a Mott Community College commit.
Mallorie Nevadomski, Otisville LakeVille Memorial (Softball)
One of the more impressive pitcher/hitter players in the area, Nevadomski is hitting .650 with five doubles, one triple, and one home run.
Nevadomski has also pitched 12 innings with a 2-0 record and 19 strikeouts.
Santino Evely, Powers Catholic (Baseball)
Evely, a Mott Community College commit, held a 3-0 record with a 1.97 ERA last season while striking out 24 in 21.1 innings of work.
The senior right-hander pitched one inning and struck out the side in Powers Catholic’s season-opening win against Yale on March 19.
Keagen Kohlhoff, Powers Catholic (Baseball)
A transfer from IMG Academy, Kohlhoff, a University of Missouri commit, tops out at 96 MPH on his fastball and has a slider, cutter, changeup, and splitter in his arsenal.
The 6-foot-2 right-hander pitched four scoreless innings and struck out seven in Powers Catholic’s season-opening win against Yale on March 19.
Chris Worley, Grand Blanc (Baseball)
Worley posted 69 strikeouts in 42 innings of work while holding a 1.55 ERA and 7-2 record last season.
The University of Notre Dame commit currently holds a 1-0 record with four scoreless innings and 10 strikeouts.
Trey Williams, Grand Blanc (Baseball)
A first-team honoree in the Saginaw Valley League last season, Williams anchored the catcher position for the Bobcats while hitting .369 with 30 RBIs, nine doubles, and two triples.
The Northwood University commit is currently hitting .333 with five RBIs and a double.
Robby Diment, Clio (Baseball)
Currently hitting .294 with a double and five RBIs, Diment has also thrown 11 innings with a 1-0 record.
The senior right-hander pitched 48.1 innings last season to the tune of a 1.01 ERA with 61 strikeouts, earning second-team honors in the Flint Metro League.
Diment also hit .345 with five doubles and 15 walks last season.
Cross Darby, Goodrich (Baseball)
Darby has been on fire both on the mound and at the plate, hitting .400 while posting a 1-0 record with 11 strikeouts in six innings.
The senior pitcher/shortstop hit .345 at the plate while holding a 6-1 record and a 1.00 ERA on the mound last season. He also tallied 75 strikeouts.
Luke Smith, Flushing (Baseball)
Smith is coming off an incredible season at the plate where he hit .396 with 13 doubles, 29 RBIs, 36 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases.
Smith, who earned Division 1 second-team all-state and MLive Flint-area Dream Team, will continue his baseball career at Olivet Nazarene University.
Brayden Kelley, Durand (Baseball)
Kelley has been off to a great start this season, hitting .429 with a .992 OPS, 11 RBIs, 11 runs scored while pitching 17.2 innings with 20 strikeouts and a 1.58 ERA.
The senior pitcher/shortstop hit .375 with a .948 OPS and collected 24 runs scored and 18 RBIs while contributing 41 innings with 47 strikeouts and a 3.58 ERA last season.
Jayden Panula, Byron (Baseball)
Panula carried an offensive slash line of .431/.566/.534 while holding a 1.100 OPS. He had three doubles, a home run, 19 RBIs, 21 runs scored, 11 walks, and added nine stolen bases.
Brett Hoffman, Swartz Creek (Baseball)
A strong pitcher and hitter for Swartz Creek, Hoffman secured his 100th-career varsity hit this season.
Kamryn Lauinger, Goodrich (T&F)
Lauinger was an all-state honoree at the 2024 MHSAA Division 2 state finals in both the 1600-meter (8th) and 3200-meter (4th) while also qualifying as a member of the 4x800 relay team.
Lauinger was the Flint Metro League champion in all three events and the regional champion in both the 1600 and 3200.
Lauinger has already earned several first and second place finishes this season.
Layla Jordan, Goodrich (T&F)
A state champion in the 800-meter last season, Jordan has already tallied numerous first place finishes this season as she looks to repeat.
Chloe Josephson, Linden (T&F)
A state qualifier last season, Josephson has a first-place finish in the 1600 and 3200-meter this year while also earning first on a pair of relays.
Lucy Stevens, Davison (T&F)
A state qualifier last season, Stevens has gotten off to an impressive start already on hurdles, long jump, and as a member of the 4x400 relay.
Olivia Hamilton, Powers Catholic (T&F)
A state qualifier last season, Hamilton does a little bit of everything for the Chargers.
Hamilton holds a handful of first place finishes across multiple events this season.
Makayla Hilliard, Clio (T&F)
Just missing out on qualifying for states last season, Hilliard has been Clio’s go-to athlete on hurdles this year, holding a trio of first-place finishes.
Ethan Sellers, Flint Kearsley (T&F)
A state qualifier in the 3200-meter last season, Sellers opened his 2025 campaign with a fifth-place finish in the 3200 and fourth-place finish as a member of the 4x600 relay at the SVSU Division 1/2 Indoor Invitational at Saginaw Valley State University.
Sellers has been strong so far this season for the Hornets.
Lucas Kuran, Corunna (T&F)
Kuran finished 14th in the 400 at states while helping the 4x400 team secure both the Flint Metro League and regional championship last season.
Kuran currently has five first-place finishes this season.
Colby Hoggard, Davison (T&F)
Hoggard finished first in both the 400-meter and the 4x400 relay on March 19 at the CMU HS Invite at Central Michigan University, leading Davison to a first-place team finish at the meet.
Hoggard is a returning state qualifier in the 4x400 relay.
Jack Lillywhite, Flint Kearsley (T&F)
Just falling short of qualifying for states last season, Lillywhite has been impressive so far this season.
He holds several first-place finishes across multiple events.
Alan Mrva, Corunna (T&F)
A state qualifier last season, Mrva has a pair of first place finishes in discs and shot put this season.
Gavin Valley, Goodrich (T&F)
A state qualifier last season, Valley holds several first-place finishes already across multiple events.
Mikayla Kilbourn, Flushing (Girls lacrosse)
Coming off a season where she tallied 86 goals, Kilbourn has already posted 45 goals to go with 76 ground balls, 79 draw controls, and two assists this season.
Raynah Lanigan, Swartz Creek (Girls Lacrosse)
A first-team all-Flint Metro League selection last season, Lanigan tallied six goals in a 9-3 win over Fenton/Linden this season.
Leah Peck, Goodrich (Girls Lacrosse)
Peck was a first-team all-Flint Metro League selection last season and is off to another great start.
Kail Glennie, Davison (Girls Lacrosse)
Glennie has paced the Davison offense this season, scoring three goals in a win over Midland Dow on April 15.
Colton Roe, Goodrich (Boys Lacrosse)
A defensive specialist, Roe was a first-team all-Flint Metro League selection last season.
He currently has one goal on the season.
Owen Mueller, Fenton (Boys Lacrosse)
A first-team all-Flint Metro League selection last season, Mueller has been stellar offensively for Fenton.
He scored six goals in a win against West Bloomfield this season.
Cooper Haywood, Goodrich (Boys Lacrosse)
A first-team all-Flint Metro League selection last season, Haywood currently has 15 goals and four assists on the year.
Murphy Conley, Goodrich (Boys Lacrosse)
Conley has come into his own this season, holding 10 goals and seven assists already.
Tommy Dowling, Grand Blanc (Boys Lacrosse)
A Lewis University commit, Dowling has 18 goals, 11 assists, and 19 ground balls this season. He also recorded his 100th-career goal earlier this season.
Nik Lemons, Grand Blanc (Boys Lacrosse)
A Northwood University commit, Lemos has one goal, 51 ground balls, and is 71 percent on face offs.
Braeden Hoover, Grand Blanc (Golf)
Finishing eighth at a tournament already this season, Hoover is a veteran leader on a Bobcats team currently ranked No. 7 in Division 1 for boys golf.
Boston Koebke, Swartz Creek (Golf)
Finishing in first at a league dual meet already this year, Koebke is a returning second-team all-Flint Metro League honoree.
Garrett Morrison, Flushing (Golf)
A returning first-team all-Flint Metro League honoree, Morrison finished tied for first at the PGA Reach Invitational this season and has 41 birdies already.
Londyn Laviolette, Durand (Tennis)
Laviolette is currently 4-0 on the year.
Sierra Smith, Corunna (Tennis)
A returning first-team all-Flint Metro League honoree, Smith is 2-1 this season.
Autumn Snyder, Swartz Creek (Tennis)
A returning first-team all-Flint Metro League honoree, Snyder is 2-1 this season.
Mallory Franzem, Grand Blanc (Tennis)
Franzem currently holds a 4-2 record this season.
