Reigning World Cup champions, South Africa, have started their 2025 international season with their first win over the Barbarians in 25 years. The Springboks beat the star-studded invitational side 54-7 at a wet and cold Cape Town Stadium. They were surprisingly accurate in most departments given the conditions and the fact that this was their first outing in more than seven months. The four-time world champions next play Italy, with the first of the two test matches taking place at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria next Saturday.
