Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Gujarat Titans IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans managed to take down Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets, thanks to Mohammed Siraj’s four-wicket haul coupled with Shubman Gill’s fifty and Washington Sundar’s 49 on franchise debut at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday. The GT skipper got his first fifty of the season to return to his best form with the bat. Sundar’s support stabilised their chase to give them their third win of the season. Despite Sundar missing out on his fifty, Sherfane Rutherford’s quickfire knock of 35 helped them complete the chase with as many as 20 balls to spare as Gill remained unbeaten on 61. The platform for a smooth chase was, however, set by Mohammed Siraj, who picked up his best IPL figures of 4/17. He started things off with a three-over spell in the powerplay where he cleaned up both Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. He then finished it off in the penultimate over of the first innings by removing both Aniket Verma and Simarjeet Singh to reduce SRH to a below-par score of 152/8 in the first innings. Hyderabad’s top-order woes remain a big concern as Nitish Reddy was their highest scorer with a jittery knock of 31 in 34 balls as he struggled for the most part in his time in the middle. Pat Cummins looked to save face with a late surge of 22 in 9 balls, but it fell in vain as SRH remain winless in their last four games.
