The Pittsburgh Steelers had to wait a long time to finally find out that future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be signing with the team. Though there are concerns regarding his age and capabilities, executives, coaches, and more voted on their favorite offseason moves — with Rodgers taking the top spot for a major reason.According to an anonymous NFL veteran offensive coach, says Steelers landing Rodgers for the amount they did is a "steal," according to a new report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "He's the best quarterback they've had since [Ben Roethlisberger]. We will see how the body holds up, but I think he's going to help them immensely."Rodgers played under a very questionable offensive line in 2024, and despite taking a multitude of sacks, he still threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Those stats are certainly not indicative of a quarterback who is not capable of playing at a high level. Despite Rodgers' stats, there is still one AFC executive who pointed out the biggest concern with the veteran quarterback."Look, the mobility is an issue, there's no doubt," an AFC executive said. "But where he helps them is with the plus arm strength and the field vision from the pocket. They haven't had that. I'm not sure that will be enough, but the offense will be at least respectable."Rodgers does have a mobility issue due to his age. It is doubtful that he will be able to continue taking big shots and not miss games.Though he is a very durable quarterback, 2024 proved that those hits can heavily impact Rodgers. The Steelers have a big responsibility to protect him at all costs.Rodgers, despite his age, is still one of the best passers in the league. If he can mimic the success he had with the Jets in Pittsburgh, the offense might be plenty dangerous.DK Metcalf was brought over from the Seattle Seahawks and will be the No. 1 option for Rodgers. However, there are other offensive weapons such as Pat Freiermuth, Jaylen Warren, Robert Woods, and more.Rodgers could rewrite his history once again with the Steelers, assuming he has a stellar season.More NFL:49ers' George Kittle Fires Back at NFL Over Tight End DisrespectFor more on Aaron Rodgers and the NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.
