Streamtec is on track to achieve a record-breaking £6m turnover, bolstered by new client wins.
The Arbroath-based audio-visual and video conferencing business is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Founded in 2004 by Ian McMillan OBE, the family-owned company has grown from three employees to a team of 22, delivering bespoke solutions, from small space setups for local companies to £2m projects with larger clients across the UK.
McMillan is now retired from day-to-day operations, but remains involved as chair.
Streamtec has also cemented its position as a preferred partner for several Scottish universities, including the University of St Andrews, which recently has announced a partnership extension for another five years.
The University of Aberdeen and University of Dundee are also now in their second consecutive five-year partnership phase, while Robert Gordon University is in its third consecutive contract.
Streamtec’s managing director Ian Gauld, who joined the company 10 years ago, said: “The last five years have been transformational for Streamtec, not only have we grown significantly, but we’ve also adapted to meet the significantly evolving needs of the AV industry, as demand for solutions like Microsoft Teams, Zoom rooms, interactive AV setups, and large-scale LED video walls continues to rise.
“From our landmark single-source university contracts to our commitment to sustainability, it’s also a key aim of ours to lead the shift towards energy-efficient, eco-conscious solutions.”
In addition to its higher education portfolio, Streamtec works with clients including GlaxoSmithKline, The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, the National Museum of Scotland, Apex Hotels, and the NHS.
To support growth, its Arbroath headquarters were recently upgraded with a 130” LED display screen, advanced video conferencing solutions and acoustic panelling. A dedicated training room with high quality audio showcases display screens ranging from 55” to 98”, digital signage, Microsoft Teams solutions and wireless connectivity.
