'Such a pro' Nadia Forde cast in Baz Ashmawy's hit show Faithless

Model-turned-actress Nadia Forde is set to appear alongside Baz Ashmawy in the second series of his hit comedy-drama Faithless, EVOKE has learned. Clontarf native Nadia who has been a mainstay on the Irish celebrity scene for the past two decades has, in recent years, made the seamless transition from reality telly to drama and movies. Now Nadia is set to grace the small screen as she has landed a leading role alongside Baz in the second series of his Virgin Media hit series, which debuted last year to great acclaim. Sources let slip that mum-of-one Nadia, who is married to former Welsh rugby international Dominic Day, has been cast as the love interest of Baz’s character's best friend in the upcoming series. Speaking to EVOKE, Baz said that Nadia played a blinder in her romantic role, saying: ‘Nadia filmed with us. We love her. She's great! Such a pro.' Gaiety of School of Acting trained Nadia has landed roles in a diversity of different film and television productions of late from serious drama, to comedy and murder mystery. Her big-screen breakout came in 2019 when she starred in period crime drama Once Upon a Time in London. She then went on to land a part in detective series Harry Wild starring alongside Hollywood starlet Jayne Seymour. Baz himself is taking some family time as filming on the second series of Faithless has just wrapped. He revealed late in 2024 that his self-penned debut drama Faithless has been picked up for a second season. The first series proved a hit with viewers despite only having a three-episode run. Baz plays the lead role in the comedy where he stars as Egyptian single dad Sam bringing up three daughters. The blended family drama aired to rave reviews.
