Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly have played to a goalless draw in the first leg semi-final of the CAF Champions League encounter held in Pretoria.
The two African football giants could not be separated after 90 minutes.
Sundowns and Ahly have now drawn six matches in total in the CAF Champions League.
The two sides will meet each other again in the second leg match at the Cairo International Stadium next Friday.
Many have regarded the semi-final encounter between CAF Champions League defending champions Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns as the final before the final.
The two teams have played fourteen times in the Champions League since 2007. Sundowns have won five times, and Al Ahly have four wins, with five other matches ending in a stalemate.
But Sundowns enjoy a 7-game run, having not lost a match to the Egyptians since 2021.
A tightly contested first leg ends in a stalemate at Loftus. Focus now shifts to Egypt for the decider. 💪
