After Super Eagles snub, Cyriel Dessers was the hero as Rangers came from behind to record a 4-3 win against Dundee.
In a pulsating Scottish Premiership clash at Dens Park, Rangers secured a dramatic 4-3 victory over Dundee, with Cyriel Dessers proving to be the hero of the night on March 29, 2025
The Nigerian international forward netted a stoppage-time winner, capping a remarkable comeback for the visitors in the match.
Dessers the hero for Rangers
Dundee struck first through Simon Murray in the 2nd minute to stun Rangers early.
Joe Shaughnessy made it two for Dundee in the 19th minute but would score an own in the 43rd minute to give Rangers a lifeline.
In the 62nd minute Dundee made it three with a goal by Scott Tiffoney.
James Tavernier pulled one back for Rangers in the 75th minute while Tom Lawrence scored the equalizer in the 81st minute.
As the match ticked into stoppage time, Dessers stepped up when it mattered most.
Dessers finally found the back of the net in the 93rd minute to spark wild celebrations among the fans/
Dessers now has 22 goals across all competitions, a testament to his fine form.
He however was not invited to the Super Eagles of Nigeria squad for the last international window against the Amavubi of Rwanda and Warriors of Zimbabwe.
