Superman Debuts At 91 Per Cent On Rotten Tomatoes: All Man Of Steel Movies Ranked On Tomatometer

Superman has debuted at 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. The ratings were revelaed after the James Gunn movie, starring David Corenswet had its Los Angeles debut this week. It also received a "certified fresh" rating, and currently stands at 86% based on 151 reviews. While the movie has received thumping first reviews from netizens, its score on the aggregator is also worth taking note of. Meanwhile, the film has already managed to beat Gunn's previous Marvel blockbusters, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (85%) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 (82%). It is higher than even the 2022 film The Batman (85%), the 2018 film Avengers: Infinity War (85%) and the 2005 film Batman Begins (85%). The RT score is however lower than the filmmaker's The Suicide Squad (90%) and the other GOTG title, Guardians of the Galaxy (92%). The plot features the arrival of General Zod and his comrades on Earth, following their release from the Phantom Zone. Superman Returns (2006) Rotten Tomatoes: 72% Bryan Singer's reboot had Brandon Routh turning the new version of DC superhero. It shows Superman returning to Earth after five years and discovers that his love interest Lois Lane has moved on from him. Also, his arch rival Lex Luthor is planning to kill him. Man of Steel (2013) Rotten Tomatoes: 57% Zack Snyder debuted his version of Superman played by Henry Cavill. Iit is the first film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and follows Clark Kent after he realises his indentity of a superpowered alien from Krypton and assumes the role of mankind's protector while stopping General Zod from destroying humanity. Superman III (1983) Rotten Tomatoes: 31% Richard Lester returned to helm the third installment led by Christopher Reeves where Superman battles a corrupt businessman who has constructed a powerful supercomputer to kill him. The movie failed to impress. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) Rotten Tomatoes: 28% Another take of Synder, with Cavill returning and being joined by Ben Affleck as Batman. The first live-action film to feature the two DC giants together, as well as first cinematic debut of Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot.
