Joe Alwyn has shared a rare throwback photo from his childhood on Instagram. The Brutalist actor — who famously dated Taylor Swift for six years before their April 2023 split — took to the app on Wednesday, March 12, to share a rare carousel of photos, including a selfie, a red carpet snap from the 2025 Oscars, and a picture of what appears to be an ID card from his youth. In the throwback photo, Alwyn, now 34, looks at the camera with a serious expression on his face, wearing a checkered shirt underneath a suit jacket and tie, his platinum blond hair slightly spiked in front. While Alwyn rarely shares photos on Instagram — let alone ones from his childhood — he did share a funny anecdote from his youth in England on The Drew Barrymore Show earlier this year."When I was about 8 years old I thought it would be a fun idea to prank the neighbors. And I wrote some letters. They were pranky but they were of the threatening-pranky kind, and they were dipped in fake blood from a toy store," the Conversations With Friends alum revealed, adding that he and his brother put the letters in his neighbors' mailboxes. The prank did not go over well in the neighborhood, with one resident calling the police."The street ... was quickly filled with the entire neighborhood in tears and screaming and worried and, understandably, they had called the police and Scotland Yard was on its way," Alwyn said. "Police cars turned up on the road cause they've got a killer to catch!"Ultimately, the British actor divulged, he and his brother had to "confess our crime," noting that it was his sibling who "took the brunt" of the scolding because his brother was older.Fans also know another detail about his childhood thanks to Swift's 2020 Folklore track, "Invisible String.""Teal was the color of your shirt / When you were 16 at the yogurt shop / You used to work at to make a little money," she sings on the song, which has long been theorized to be about Alwyn. (The Kinds of Kindness star, for his part, revealed in January 2020 that he worked at London's frozen yogurt shop, Snog; employees wear turquoise-blue T-shirts as uniforms, per Us Weekly.)
