From Tony Osauzo, Benin Amadin Desmond Enabulele, Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring Team Edo excels at the National Sports Festival in Ogun State, scheduled for May 16 to 30. In a statement released by his Media Officer, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele expressed satisfaction with the athletes’ preparation after observing training sessions and trials across various sports centres. “I am very impressed with Team Edo’s performance. With this momentum, we are on course to clinch victory,” he said, praising the athletes and coaches for their dedication. Enabulele noted the commission’s support for creating an environment where athletes can thrive. He emphasised that Edo’s sports strategy focuses on excellence and grassroots empowerment. “Together, we will continue to work hard and strive for excellence as we represent Edo State at the National Sports Festival,” he added. The 2024 National Sports Festival, often called Nigeria’s Olympics, will feature top athletes competing in various disciplines.
