Change is coming to “Ted Lasso.”
According to Deadline, Ted’s 12-year-old son Henry is being recast for Season 4.
Gus Turner played Jason Sudeikis’ on-screen son for the first three seasons of the show.
The Apple TV+ comedy series is reportedly looking for a new actor to play Henry.
The Post has reached out to Apple TV+ for comment.
Henry mostly appeared on FaceTime calls with his dad. Ted moved to London to coach AFC Richmond while Henry stayed in Kansas with his mom Michelle (Andrea Anders). Henry goes to London to see Ted twice.
During the Season 3 finale, Henry reunites with Ted who leaves Richmond and moves back to Kansas.
Sudeikis, 49, is currently the only confirmed cast member for Season 4. He is also co-creator, executive producer and co-showrunner.
Deadline reported that Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie) are also expected to return, while Juno Temple (Keeley) is in negotiations to join them.
It’s unclear if co-creator Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard) will be back in an acting role, but according to Deadline, he’s been working on the scripts with fellow writers and executive producers Sudeikis and Goldstein, 44.
“Ted Lasso” ran for three seasons between 2020 and 2023 before supposedly ending in 2023.
The cast also included Phil Dunster (Jamie), Nick Mohammed (Nate), Sarah Niles (Dr. Sharon), Toheeb Jimoh (Sam) and Cristo Fernandez (Dani).
Sudeikis and the other creatives of the show were cagey about whether Season 3 was the real end.
“You can ask anybody that wrote on the show, or acted on the show, or produced the show, and we will all say the same thing, which is, that’s up to Jason Sudeikis,” co-creator Bill Lawrence told The Post in August 2024.
“As a fan, of course, I’d love to see it again,” Lawrence, 56, added. “But whatever [Sudeikis] ends up doing, I’m totally down with. And I get it.”
Sudeikis finally confirmed that the show is getting a Season 4 last week on Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
The actor said the new season will see Ted coaching a women’s soccer team.
In a press release statement confirming the news, Sudeikis said, “In Season 4, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”
The official AppleTV+ Instagram account also posted a photo of a stadium seat with “4” written on it, above the words “Ted Lasso.”
“Ted Lasso” Season 4 does not have a premiere date.
