The eight-acre lawn lends itself to fun games like cornhole and horseshoe and there are four tennis and pickleball courts for some friendly competition. Keep the bonding going at the indulgent spa or at the property’s monthly painting classes with a local artist. Poco Diablo was recently purchased by CoralTree Hospitality, which has announced plans to turn it into a branch of the hip, lifestyle-focused hotel brand Outbound Hotels. No plans for the timeline of that renovation have been announced, however, so it shouldn’t affect any 2025 visits.

Featured Tours In Sedona
Sedona is filled with exhilarating activities that can be enjoyed solo, as a couple or with the whole family. Here are a few standout experiences you can book to make the most out of your time in the area.
Sedona Outlaw Trail: 4x4 Tour of Western Canyons & Wildlife: This three-hour tour gives you a sampling of what North Central Arizona is known for, taking you to famous destinations including Snoopy Rock, Cathedral Rock and Coconino National Forest. You take the journey in the back of an open-air, four-wheel drive Jeep that’s more than capable of tackling the rough terrain. A knowledgeable guide provides rich history and interesting facts along the way.
Antelope Canyon And Horseshoe Bend Tour: If you’re looking for a longer excursion, we recommend this full-day tour that takes you to some of the region’s most breathtaking landmarks. A Navajo guide will lead you through the winding, narrow Antelope Canyon and show you the stunning views of Horseshoe Bend. At nearly 12 hours, this trip makes for a long day, but it’s worth it for those who want to see more of Arizona’s rugged natural beauty.
Explore Sedona’s Vortexes: 2.5-Hour Jeep Tour Of Mysticism: Sedona’s desert landscape is well known for its vortexes, which some describe as energetic phenomenons that offer healing spiritual properties. This shorter Jeep tour takes you to one of the area’s lesser-known vortex sites, so you can experience the mystery for yourself.
Verde Canyon Railroad Adventure Package: Train enthusiasts will revel in this unique opportunity to soak in unspoiled views of the Arizona wilderness aboard the Verde Canyon Railroad. Located just 40 minutes outside of Sedona, the train runs through ancient cliff dwellings and historic mining sites. For the journey, take your pick from either a vintage train car or an open-air viewing car. A champagne toast, appetizers and a pre-departure lunch are all included.

How I Chose The Best Hotels In Sedona
I selected the top contenders based on personal stays as well as extensive research.
I combined first-person experience at resorts I’ve stayed at and combed through reviews on TripAdvisor, Booking.com, hotel websites and more to help narrow my picks.
I included Sedona accommodations for a variety of different travel styles. These options range from family-friendly resorts like Enchantment Resort and Hilton Sedona Resort At Bell Rock to adults-only resorts like Ambiente Hotel (ages 18 and up) and Mii Amo (ages 16 and up).
My selections also include properties that cater to a mix of specific interests, like outdoor adventure, wellness and food, as well as Sundance, an Airbnb option for those who prefer a vacation rental.
I included resorts in a range of different Sedona neighborhoods, such as Boynton Canyon, Oak Creek and West Sedona. Some are more removed from Sedona’s central hub (Uptown), like Enchantment Resort and Mii Amo, while others are close to the heart of the action, like L’Auberge De Sedona and Amara Resort And Spa.
