Robson Sharuko PEOPLE Magazine runs an annual poll of its readers who vote for the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’. Last year, the award was won by John Krasinski, the United States actor and filmmaker. In the countdown to the main award, the magazine’s readers also vote for the ‘Sexiest Musician Alive’ and last year the award was won by Harry Styles. There was also a category, ‘The Sexiest First Time Dad’, whose award was won by heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who beat Justin Bieber, to the crown. We asked our team of female journalists to name the local male celebrity they consider to be the hottest of them all − the heartthrob every woman would love to have as their partner. It was a tough choice for all of them but they had to pick someone, somehow. We know it is quite a controversial exercise and, interestingly, we didn’t get any of our five journalists agreeing on a single name. Here is their list (in no particular order) Laura Maposa − TINO CHINYANI Ladies just love model and TV personality Tino Chinyani. He is known for his commanding presence, charisma and a distinctive British accent, all of which contribute to his attractiveness. Born in Harare on September 9, 1994, Tino attended St. John’s Prep and then went to St. John’s College. He was the deputy head boy, basketball captain and represented Under-19 Zimbabwe rugby. Both on and off the screen, Tino commands a certain presence that’s absolutely undeniable. Women flock to this man like moths to a flame and he always brings the heat. Sadly, for the women who love him, Tino is officially off the market these days (married to a beautiful woman, South African actress and singer Simphiwe “Simz’ Ngema) but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about his perfect features and debonair qualities. Tino is a proud father to two children. Tino is an international super-model and has worked with brands such as McDonald’s, Garnier Paris, Daniel Wellington, AXE, Polo, Pierre Cardin, to name but a few. The Zimbabwean actor has been cast in the award-winning stage musical “The Lion King” Shaun has a distinctive and attractive physical appearance that makes ladies drool over him whenever he is on stage or in a video. He has the height that most women crave for – he stands at around 6 feet 3 inches (191 cm) tall. He often sports a short, closely trimmed hairstyle. He has a sense of style that blends sophistication with a touch of ruggedness, often seen in his red-carpet appearances. Shaun is an actor in TV, Film and Theatre. He was the first Zimbabwean to win a Kenya Theatre award in the category of Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Lead Role (Musical) in 2022. Chipo Mukorama − MUDIWA HOOD Gospel hip hop artist, social media personality and businessman Mudiwa Hood is the hottest male Zimbabwean celebrity. He has released hit songs that have resonated with diverse audiences with tracks like ‘Shinga’ and ‘Anhu Acho Tisu.’ Mudiwa is more than just a musician, he is a brand, a role model and an inspiration . We can’t ignore his clean, cut and polished and stylish appearance. Jemira Chitakunye − JAH PRAYZAH For me, the choice is simple − Jah Prayzah is the hottest male musician in this country. He has the height and the looks which make him such an attractive artist. He also has a lot of talent as a musician and has the powerful appeal which every top musician needs. If he had wanted, he would have chosen acting and he would have fitted in easily as an actor because he has all the features one wants to be an actor. Jah Prayzah has a unique voice that creates magic in his songs. Many female fans view him as attractive because of his distinctive singing style and his ability to connect with their emotions. He has the body which appeals to many women and his smile just illuminates the stage. What impresses me even more is that he treats everyone with respect and knows that the fans deserve to be respected. He has come a long way from humble beginnings when he used to sing before a handful of fans at Jazz 105 to becoming one of the biggest artists on the domestic front at this moment. His love and respect for his wife and his love for his kids shows that he is a very good man, which is more important than having the best looks. Zvikomborero Parafin − DJ IROQ The ultimate list of the hottest male celebrities in Zimbabwe will be incomplete without the ghetto superstar DJ Iroq. DJ Iroq is popularly known for his charismatic presence on stage, which definitely contributes to his popularity among women in this country. Few names command as much respect and admiration as DJ Iroq. Born Benard Fato in Harare, his rise to fame is a story of passion, resilience and unmatched determination. He has a good fashion sense, which is creative and stylish, which gives a modern aesthetic that is loved by women.
