This is a bad season — Guardiola remains disappointed despite booking FA Cup final ticket

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has told his players they cannot call this season a success despite reaching the FA Cup final.
Manchester City secured a spot in the FA Cup final with a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, setting up a showdown with Crystal Palace.
This marks City's third consecutive FA Cup final, and they'll be chasing their eighth title in the competition. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace, who have yet to win a major trophy, will be looking to claim their first.
The FA Cup is City's last chance at major silverware this season, aside from the Community Shield, after Liverpool's Premier League triumph dashed their hopes of a fifth consecutive title.
With City sitting 21 points behind Liverpool in fourth place, manager Pep Guardiola emphasized that winning the FA Cup and securing a top-five finish wouldn't be enough to redeem the season.
"No, the damage would be minimum. It's not going to confuse [that] the season has been good," Guardiola said.
"The club has to take the right decisions so next season will be better. We are far behind Liverpool – a thousand million points behind, to put it in perspective.
"We've defined a good season by the Premier League, and this season didn't go our way. Still, we tried to minimize the damage. Now, we need to stay calm and recharge."
