@Source: timesofmalta.com
Malta International Airport will hold an emergency exercise on the morning of Tuesday, June 24. The exercise will invovle national stakeholders and other entities that would be involved in responding to a real-life emergency scenario at the airport. It will also test communications systems and emergency resources in place. A Malta International Airport spokesperson said such exercises are carried out in line with the requirements of relevant international and European regulations, to determine the level of preparedness of all entities responding to a crisis. The exercise will not affect any passenger journeys. “Unusual activity, including emergency vehicles around the airport perimeter, should not be cause for alarm,” the spokesperson added.
