This Morning viewers fear presenter has been secretly axed as he 'disappears' from show

Fans of This Morning have been left scratching their heads after a familiar face didn't appear on the show, sparking concern. Throughout the Easter break, presenters were shuffled around, with well-known figures such as Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard being replaced by stand-ins. Viewers recently saw Dermot O'Leary pair up with Sian Welby before returning to the usual Friday slot with Alison Hammond. The surprise came during last Friday's episode when Alison announced: "Josie and Andi Peters will be keeping you company on Easter Monday." To add to excitement, Dermot mentioned: "They'' have all the latest gossip from the Celebrity Big Brother house, Will Best joins them in the studio." But it wasn't the Easter Monday line-up causing a stir - it was who wasn't mentioned that raised eyebrows. Fans turned to Twitter to voice their curiosity about Craig Doyle's unexpected absence. One individual tweeted: "Andi on Monday? Have they secretly got rid of Craig?" Another posted: "Wonder what's happened to Craig." Craig Doyle has become a staple on the ITV breakfast programme, often seen stepping in alongside Josie Gibson. With no word on why he was missing, viewers are left wondering if he's been silently dropped from the team. Craig first appeared on This Morning in 2021, initially starring in competition segments before stepping up as a co-host with regulars like Alison Hammond, Holly Willoughby, and Rochelle Humes. Away from This Morning, Craig is a renowned TV and radio presenter, with a career spanning sports reporting for RTE and hosting major events for the BBC and ITV, including Rugby Union coverage and quiz shows like The Colour of Money. He also became a recognisable figure due to his time fronting Everest Windows adverts. When not on screen, Craig enjoys a peaceful life in County Wicklow with his wife Doon, who he frequently mentions affectionately on air. They live with their four children: Elsa, Milo, Muireann, and Quinn. While Craig has a public-facing job, Doon prefers to remain out of the limelight. She previously worked as an interior designer before deciding to concentrate on raising their family. There has been no official announcement from ITV or Craig himself about his current status on the show, so devoted fans are hoping his absence is just temporary.
