Partey was a regular in Arteta's plans last season, making 52 appearances across all competitions. This prompted Arsenal to initiate contract talks towards the end of the campaign. But with the club unwilling to increase his current wages, and Partey holding out for a pay rise, discussions have stalled. This impasse has now opened the door for suitors to step in.
