The match took place on Saturday, March 1.This was a huge win for Sam, a senior defender for the team, as it marked the Bucs' first state title. At some point toward the end of the game, Woods changed into a "2025 FHSAA State Championships" shirt before meeting up with his daughter, who was clutch in the game."The defense really led the team all year," Benjamin Buccaneershead coach Hillary Carney said, according to the New York Post. "It was a matter of keeping the door shut and not letting them score and knowing we would get one, maybe two. So it was really the stalwart defense leading the way with Emily being in goal and Sam being that senior in the back just settling everything."Woods' proud dad moment quickly went viral on the internet with more than 750,000 video views since it was posted."Love seeing this big cat!!!!
