Tiger Woods has revealed that he will be returning to professional golf with an appearance this week at a TGL match in Palm Beach, Florida.
Woods was initially set to compete in this week's Genesis Invitational - which is operated by his foundation and had to be moved from Riviera in Los Angeles to Torrey Pines in San Diego.
But he backed out earlier this week as he is continuing to mourn the death of his mother, Kultida, at the age of 80 back on February 4.
'I planned to tee it up this week, but I'm just not ready,' Woods said in a statement on X on Monday.
'I did my best to prepare, knowing it's what my Mom would have wanted, but I'm still processing her loss.'
Now, Woods is set to tee off with his Jupiter Links Golf Club on Tuesday night when they face the New York Golf Club in the golf simulator league.

Woods hasn't played competitively - either on the tour or in TGL - since Kultida's passing, but he was seen golfing with President Donald Trump in Florida on Super Bowl Sunday.
The Genesis Invitational was moved to Torrey Pines in San Diego following the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
In particular, the Palisades Fire bared down on the area of Pacific Palisades - the neighborhood in which Riviera Country Club is located.
After the devastation, the tournament was moved to Torrey Pines. The course had just recently hosted the Farmers Insurance Open - one of the first events on the tour calendar - back in January and has notably hosted the US Open in 2008 and 2021.
In Kultida's honor, the tournament's organizers decided to make the flag at the seventh hole all-white with no sponsors on it.
Both the number seven and the color white have significance in Buddhism, the religion Kultida practiced until her death.
