Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red Teases Big Announcement with Cryptic Post
@Source: newsweek.com
The 15-time Major winner, Tiger Woods, is currently going through a tough time. The reason? On February 4th, Woods lost the "rock" of his family, his mother, Kultida Woods.This heartbreaking loss led to Woods withdrawing from the highly anticipated Genesis Invitational, just hours before his expected debut of the year. That announcement came through an emotional 3-word message, "just not ready."Interestingly, despite his absence, the PGA Tour paid a touching tribute to Kultida Woods by placing a white flag on the seventh green at Torrey Pines. Why the color and number?As a Buddhist and Thai native, Kultida Woods had a strong spiritual connection. And the choice of color and number held deep significance to her. The number seven and the color white, featured on the seventh flag, reflect this connection.Tiger's presence was also felt through his brand, Sun Day Red, which set up shop at the 17th hole.On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Sun Day Red dropped a new update through Instagram, sparking excitement among fans about an upcoming announcement. The caption read, "Next on the tee...More to come 2.18.25. #SunDayRed" with a silhouette of a golfer, hinting at a big collaboration that Tiger Woods' team is excited about—and no doubt, so are the fans.As the post gained views, fans could not help but speculate who the mysterious golfer might be. While some fans guessed it to be the return of 16-year-old Charlie Woods, others thought it might be Rory McIlroy or Justin Thomas.Charlie Woods has been trying hard to get his hands on a PGA Tour card, but unfortunately, has failed to do so.However, things got interesting when the majority of fans commented, guessing it to be Karl Vilips. One social media user was even so sure that he commented, "100% Karl Vilips." And the reason seems pretty evident.Especially after the 23-year-old Stanford graduate, like Woods, was spotted wearing a Calypso Coral Sun Day Red polo as he locked up his spot in the top US-based tour for 2025.While the golfer's silhouette remains a puzzle, one thing is clear: something big is cooking inside the golfing GOAT's brand. What do you think it could be? Let us know in the comment section below.More Golf: Genesis Invitational: Irishman Crushes at Torrey Pines, Not Rory McIlroy
