The 100mH world record holder clocked a comfortable 11.28s (-0.5) in the 100m final, finishing ahead of Serena Cole in 11.45s and Athonique Strachan in 11.46s. Amusan's victory is a comeback statement to global recognition, having not raced since her disappointing semifinal third place finish at the Paris Olympic Games, thus failed to make the final - the first time since 2016 (Rio Olympics) she fell short of making a global championship final.
