Top comedian Lucy Beaumont has revealed that Lorraine Kelly made an unexpectedly raunchy remark during her appearance on the morning show.
The comic, who is a regular on the BBC panel shows Have I Got News for You and Would I Lie to You? described Lorraine, 64, as her 'idol' and somebody she had 'wanted to meet for years'.
She said the Scottish presenter was 'really mumsy' in the green room, before she made her hilarious comments.
Lucy, 41, told a Leicester Square Theatre audience on Tuesday night, that while waiting to go on air, things took a very surprising twist when the morning show host gave her verdict on the blockbuster Saltburn.
The BAFTA nominated 2023 film, starring Irish actor Barry Keoghan, quickly gained attention for its dark, satirical themes and provocative scenes, including Barry's character Oliver drinking bathwater and imitating a sexual act on top of a friend's burial plot.
Lucy, who appeared on the daytime show in January 2024, recalled the host's lewd remark.
She said: 'They sat me in the chair, they did the countdown, three, two, one, because it's live.'
'She just turned to me, and she said, "Did you watch Saltburn?" I went, "Yeah". And she said, "Did you know it was his idea to stick his cock in the mud?"
'And then she went, "And welcome to the show!"
The mother-of-one, who recently separated from husband Jon Richardson, added that Lorraine 'did the same on the way out'.
She said: 'She gave me a kiss goodbye, and she said, "How did he get the mud out with his rinky dinky?"
Lucy's remarks come two days after Lorraine was left red-faced after accidentally letting out an inappropriate word during one of her usual visits to the Good Morning Britain studio.
The host had been discussing with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls the upcoming celebrities she would be welcoming to her daytime chat show, when the raunchy word slipped out live on-air.
Lorraine said: 'Sir David Suchet is coming in and I just wondered, you know what he makes... and what Poirot would have made of (Towards) Zero, the new Agatha Christie... it's called Shagatha Christie apparently.'
'I beg your pardon,' interrupted Susanna.
Lorraine asked: 'Am I allowed to say that?'
Ed bluntly told her: 'No.'
Brushing off the red-faced moment, the Scottish star retorted: 'Well, I just have,' before adding: 'Anyway, I apologise for apologising and I'll apologise again for myself.'
She continued: 'Anyway, it's raunchy, Agatha Christie is raunchy, which I don't really think that you need, but we'll find out what David thinks.'
'Ok,' responded Susanna. As Lorraine told viewers: 'Sorry about that.'
Ed attempted to shift the mood, telling her: 'No, you've livened it up.' However, Susanna could not help but poke fun at the situation.
With a smile on her face, Susanna announced: 'At the weekend, Lorraine was asked what she's really like in a newspaper interview, and she said she's 'exactly like Lorraine but only more sweary.'
Susanna added: 'But you've decided to be a bit more raunchy on-air.'
Lorraine's representatives have been approached for comment.
