HITA, Japan -- Toyota Motor will make efforts to sell U.S.-produced vehicles in Japan, Chairman Akio Toyoda said Saturday, noting the significance of nontariff barriers being addressed in a recent trade deal between the two countries.
Japan has agreed to streamline the safety certification process for U.S.-built autos, paving the way for such vehicles to be imported more easily.
