At least two people have been injured in a head-on collision on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, closing several lanes of traffic during the morning commuter peak.
Two vehicles collided head-on around 8.12am on Wednesday, with emergency services arriving on the scene shortly after to attend to two patients and divert traffic.
The first patient has already been transported to St Vincent’s Hospital, while the second sustained a back injury in the collision and is being carefully removed from their vehicle. An Ambulance NSW spokesperson confirmed both patients were conscious.
Heavy traffic is already stretching back to Artarmon and Mosman for southbound commuters and Drummoyne for those travelling north, with two of three lanes closed in both directions.
