Hyderabad: The city traffic police issued an advisory announcing diversions in Dhoolpet between August 23 and 27 in view of the largescale sale, purchase and transportation of Ganesh idols.According to the advisory, general traffic will not be permitted between Bhoiguda Kaman and Gandhi statue during this period. Vehicles carrying Ganesh idols will be allowed to enter from Gandhi statue, Puranapul, and exit through Bhoiguda Kaman crossroads. Traffic from Gandhi statue and Puranapul towards Mangalhat will be diverted via Takkarwadi T-Junction, Jinsi Chowrahi and Ghode-ki-Khabar. Vehicles from Seetarambagh towards Mangalhat or Puranapul will be diverted at Bhoiguda Kaman crossroads towards Karwan Road through Gandhi statue, or through Aghapura, Dharusalam and MJ Bridge. Vehicles from Darussalam intending to proceed towards Puranapul through Mangalhat will be diverted through alternative routes including Aghapura, Ghode-ki-Khabar and Jummerat Bazaar. Heavy vehicles engaged in idol transportation must be parked at Jummerat Bazaar ground or 100 Feet Road, Puranapul. They will be permitted to move only after 10 pm. In case of rain, parking will be arranged along MJ Bridge road towards Jummerat Bazaar. Police requested citizens to cooperate and follow diversions for smooth traffic flow.
