The Ireland women’s rugby squad were able to do something at their WXV1 competition in Canada last autumn that’s not a usual occurrence at a major tournament. France were on the opposite side of the draw to Ireland so instead of playing together, they trained together. Ireland had two sessions against Les Bleus – the first on the week of Ireland’s opening game in the competition against New Zealand in Vancouver and the second on the week of their final game against the USA.
